BG2 Complete won't launch on MacOS Monterey. Won't open at all. I'm guessing this has something to do with wineskin. Any tips? Thanks all.

By "BG2 Complete", do you mean the pre-Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate 2? That version is only available as a 32-bit application. Apple disabled support for 32-bit applications in OS X 10.15. You must use a 64-bit version of the game, or switch to an operating system which supports 32-bit programs. Both Windows 10 and recent Linux systems support 32-bit programs. Only OS X lacks this capability.
Yes; would the enhanced version solve this problem?
The most current version of Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition is available (only) as a 64-bit game (though the game page fails to state this). I expect that using a 64-bit Wine with the 64-bit BG2:EE Windows version would work on a modern MacOS. I have not tried this, and I do not recall seeing any posts from anyone who has tried it and confirmed it to work. The game page states "Mac OS 10.9" as a minimum, which presumably means that GOG expects it would work for you. It's not clear to me whether BG2:EE is available as a native MacOS application or not, and the "Games in your account" page is currently broken, so I cannot check whether a MacOS download is offered to me. On the bright side, BG2:EE is currently 70% off as part of a winter sale.

Could you elaborate on this? Does BG2:EE v2.6 not work on MacOS Monterey? Where is this reported, and how does it fail?

As I understand it, Apple is quite proud of themselves for removing 32-bit support. I doubt their Support Plan would help the user get 32-bit support reactivated. If I'm wrong about that, could you provide more detail on what the OP should request when contacting Apple? CSRs are generally not known for being helpful if not given specific requests.
