So here's the thing. Multiplayer isn't working, and everyone online says to use windowed mode. But I can't for the life of me get it to work. Alt-Enter does nothing, and going into the preferences and setting fullscreen off doesn't work either. As soon as I open the dialog again, fullscreen is back on. I'd appreciate it if someone gave me a hand; I'm running Windows 7 64 bits, and the widescreen mod, if that helps. I should also mention, using bgconfig to set it to windowed doesn't do anything either, although the setting does stay there. I don't have the game installed to program files, and I'm running it as admin and with windows xp compatibility mode.

Make sure that your resolution with the widescreen mod isn't the same size as your monitor. (IE: If you have a 1920x1080 monitor, make sure the widescreen mod is something like 1280x720.)

I ran into this problem a little bit myself. The game won't window unless the resolution is set lower than your monitors maximum.
