This may be a dumb question but here goes: I stumbled into the Durlag's Tower area and rapidly realized I'm WAY over my head. So...I tried to leave the area and...I can't get out. The "wheel" appears nowhere. Am I just missing the exit? I turned around as soon as I got there and I can't get out! I really don't want to start the whole darn game over. Help!

You can get out at the top left of the screen, near to the merchant, on the West side. I doubt that you are down at the bottom (South) end, but there's an exit there too.

I think you have already realised this, but Durlag's Tower is the single hardest area in the game. Don't even attempt it until you're about 6. It's probably best to leave it until just before you get sent back to Candlekeep, or before the final showdown with Sarevok.

If Hickory's advice doesn't help you, post a screen of where you are.

Thanks for the help. I was looking north which seemed to be where I came in. I'll try west.
