Hi, i bought Baldur's Gate 1 the other day so i could play it for the fist time here on GOG since the store page said it came with the "Original Saga" but when I start the game it says "Enhanced Edition" and I don't see any alternate executables in the game files. Is there a way to deactivate Beamdog's nonsense additions? I've heard they're terrible.

In your browser (not galaxy) In Baldur's Gate Enhanched Edition choose downloads > more> serial keys.
Beside Baldur's Gate: Enhanched Edition is the redeem code for the original Bioware version.

Thank you! I saw that before but wasn't sure what it was.

I don't remember having to unlock it... they must have added that after?

FYI - if you want to play in the Enhanced Edition engine but remove Beamdog's content additions (specifically, the new NPCs and remastered movies), these two mods will remove any content that wasn't in the original game:

https://github.com/Argent77/A7-NoEENPCs

(The second mod strips the new NPCs out of BG2 as well.)

From what I've read and heard the EE cured all the old bugs and glitches and improved the graphics. The only thing wrong with it is the new NPC's. Seriously, why can't I skip the bridge district girl's cutscene. So infuriating! I had to watch that thing twice!
