Anyone else experiencing this?
Sound files aswell as radio in background, all have some "crackling" noise.

Running on win10 #20H2
ASUS ROG Strix Z390-I Gaming with Realtek ALC1220

Windows Sound set to 16Bit 192khz

**update**
It seems CP2077 currently does not support any higher windows sound setting than 16bit / 96khz

Yes. I was just gonna make a post about this too.
Also found a youtube vid of someone having the same issue as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcxM1LLp-2o

I am running on Win10 20H1 with an RME Babyface Pro audio interface which has extremely. Stable. Drivers. That are not at fault.

The game seems to randomly lock itself into a state in which its primary audio buffer experiences underruns (at least it sounds like that); this state can spontanously resolve, or reappear at any time.

Earliest time this happens for me is right in the main menu before even loading a savegame.

I was unsuccessful in determining an obvious thing that makes this happen (does not seem to be tied to framerate, CPU utilization, or usage of RTX features).
Yes I have the same issue from the very start of the game. It crackles. At first I thought it was just the menu music, but it is really bad crackling alternating on left and right headphone. I updated all my drivers, audio and graphics included.
What's worse is that I constantly crash even during character creation or before.
Currently reinstalling the game on GOG, verifying did NOT work, it just tried to download some 30mb files, tried it multiple times.
I'll try setting my audio devices to different qualities next...

edit: I'm on Win7 64bit
core i5 6600k @4ghz (stable overclock for years in any game, not the issue)
msi z170a gaming m7
gtx 970
16gb ram

edit 2:
I reinstalled the game completely (had it preloaded and patched previously), turned off the overlay of gog, and set all my sound devices except my headphones as DISABLED in windows. I set the quality to 2 channel, 16 bit, 48000Hz dvd quality.

Sound bug is GONE.

Let's see about the crashes...

I've got the same issue as well. Running an EVGA Nu Audio card which is audiophile grade, and I haven't had this issue anywhere else.

Edit for specs-

Windows 10 20H1, 10.0.19041
Ryzen 3900x
Asus x570 Tuf Gaming
EVGA Nu Audio card
Gigabyte Eagle RTX3090
16g RAM

EDIT 2 - Per Daelaron's instruction, set turned the audio sampling rate down from 32bit to 16bit 96000hz and it's gone. So 16bit audio, nothing above 96000hz sample rate may be the fix.

Setting my system audio to 16bit/48000Hz did not fix the issue.

I have to force my audio interface to natively run in 16bit/44100Hz for the issue to (seemingly?) go away.
This is.. hm. The first game I've encountered in 15 years that can't deal with modern audio hardware
Soundblaster G6 here.
I changed format from 24bit 96 kHz to 16bit 96kHz and the problem is gone.

FInally, someone says it. This is a bandaid of a "fix" that doesnt work for everyone, because the issue lies with the game and not with end users' audio setups. Forcing people to mess around with their audio settings for one game instead of patching the problem is NOT the way to go with this. I'm tired of seeing threads marked as "solved" with the bitrate change being offered as the solution.

hmm, as i never did something like this, how do i do this?
Can't find anything in the Sound Settings for forcing how to run it in 16bit/44100Hz.
Hope you can help me with that because the constant cracking background noise is driving me insane. ^^

I think it's the buffer size.
Had these issues in the very beginning of the street kid tutorial. I've changed the settings of my playback device (in the windows sound control panel) to 24bit depth and 48KHz sample rate, and I don't have this issue anymore. They're probably using 44.1KHz because of the consoles...

I don't have that problem. But sometimes when running the sound of the foot steps stops making sound. And it feels like the character is gliding over the ground lol.
