Pre-orders get refunds. Be sure to specify you want it in CASH vs their credit on the store.

Maybe if enough people cancel pre-orders they'll get their shit together.

I cancelled. You should too.

Getting a refund as 'protest' means fuck all - CDPR is swimming in cash, 1% of people asking for a refund won't even register.

That said, there has been a lot of blowback for this on social media and they are getting the message that people are very suspicious that something is going on behind the scenes that may be more serious than they put out there. My theory is that management is trying to do too much at the same time, and the devs simply cannot keep up.

They should have released the game for current gen consoles and PC and then worried about patching the game to work on the next gen consoles. The december deadline would be perfect for this as most people will be getting the new consoles for christmas. This obsession with releasing the game in 'perfect' condition will only delay the game again and again.

I think they will release the game in 2021, probably April. 21 days is not nearly enough to patch whatever was so serious that they decided to delay the game and face all of this backlash. Otherwise they would've delayed the next gen releases
I got a refund as well :)
I am so torn as to whether or not to refund my preorder.

On one hand we have this amazing game around the corner and I'm excited for that, on the other hand I have moved my holiday 3 times now and I think CDPR need to understand this latest delay, after all the it's gone gold, no more delays etc is kind of absurd.

I think there's more to it than the Twitter message suggests, also they could email all potential customers about this as I don't use Twitter and only found out by seeing the countdown timer shoot back up to 44 days.

Hmm what to do what to do
I cancelled three times already, and they keep delaying! I think I'm doing it wrong.

Exactly right, I'm cancelling. Not pre-ordering at all and depending on reviews. May buy it on Steam
Bought the game just 2 days ago on Steam as the release date just next month though I dont pre-order. Refunded it instantly and got Ghostrunner and considering RE2. Will get Cyberpunk when it goes on sale. The hype is dead now.

I pretty much agree with you. If they do delay again for next gen without a very good reason. The pissed off aspect will become front and center. I really can't beleive 21 days or whatever this delay is will be enough to get much done on a game they say is GOLD. I think it's all consoles all cash. period. Which brings our beloved CDPR in line with other corporations money runs it all. Enough is never enough is the moto. And looks like it taken root.

Current gen consoles are the reason why the game got delayed.

ABOUT THE DELAY: "This situation is different" compared to previous changes to the deadline - the game for PC is ready and plays well on next-gen consoles and the company is finalizing the process concerning current gen consoles.

Tried to cancel my preorder twice with no response and the game is still in my library... I will keep trying. Anyway, as someone said before the hype is dead now; furthermore, as I see it, there are three options:

-The game has some horrible horrible gamebreaking bug/s that makes delaying it the lesser evil instead of releasing it completely broken (I don't think this is the case); I think in this case, the game would still be released quite buggy or even with(out) more cut features. Also, if this is the case it would probably mean more delays.

-The game runs horribly bad on "old" generation XBox and PS and more optimization is necessary; this is the scenario that worries me the most because it could mean a strong downgrade on every platform that they'll "fix" in the upgrade patch in 2021.

-The game is perfectly fine on every platform except Stadia, which is rumored to be a tech hell for ports, and the delay is due to the optimization for that platform only. This is technically the lesser evil but the one that bothers me the most, because it would mean they didn't keep their word because Google rained money on them, which has other worrying implications regarding the game development.

Anyway, probably I will wait for actual release now, see some reviews and then buy the game if it is half the good game I used to hope it was going to be. Just venting out BTW.

About that, Stadia did advertisement that Cyberpunk would be a day one release. And Cyberpunk for stadia was annoucend October 15. I am taking from this situation that they negotiated this very close to the delivery date, without consulting their development team, or they made a massive estimate mistake for that. As CDPR is now locked to released CP'77 with stadia at day one, everything must be delayed.

But frankly, I don't care anymore. I asked for a refund, and I'm going to play with other means. If they deliver the game on date, and keep patching it and adding content, they might win me back and I will buy the game again. Until them, I'm good.
Just applied to refund my pre order as I'm pretty tired of this nonsense especially as it appears it's because of the silly console versions.
LOL bunch of cry babies, go ahead and refund and then buy the game again on release.

grow up

Remind me when this game was supposed to come out? Seven months ago? Now we'll be up to eight months thanks to last gen consoles and/or Stadia. Turns out when you screw over part of your consumer base in favor of another they get mad.
No, this is because of Black Friday 27th November ok?
You have a chance to upgrade your machines cheap.
This is global marketing...
but... I can see..
10th of December is a final date, this is obvious as gifts for kids : )
