"A whole bunch"? I actually see very few there. Nothing against GOG though. I've found my interest waning in their new offerings for some time. I'm not really a fan of the new indie games, but I understand that they have to expand their selection for commercial success. Personally, I've already bought everything I could possibly want from the GOG catalog, but I continue to check back (less often) for new releases of classic games.

RottenRotz: Was this the worst year for classic games on GOG?Will this become a trend now as GOG already signed as many publishers as they could.Thoughts?
Worst year? Certainly not since we got first two Warcraft games and Diablo with Hellfire addon. There might be a worst year next time because it's even harder to bring more old school games after 10 years of pushing the IP rights limit.

I know I love those releases (warcraft 1 and 2 and diabilo with hellfire) I think we have had a great year on gog in terms of releases, I haven't agreed with every game coming here as good (such as paid doom 2 mods) but each to their own as it comes down to a matter of personal taste at the end of the day.
low rated

There are more than that if one goes outside their comfort zone era/genre and tries something new.....and I don't say this to belittle your tastes or anyone's tastes.....it's just that most of us stick to what we grew up with and little else, and bye doing such we prevent possible finding something new to love for the first time, just like we did as kids/teens.

Again, old games are limited/finite.....I get that it's what you are used to/like, but think of all the possibilities there are waiting to be tried.....heck, most things we like were new to us at some point until e tried them for the first time. :)

The problem with personal taste is that instead of adding to it(as I said to the other user just above this reply) as time goes on, many of us get a particular genre/era ingrained in our preferences/likes and don't deviate from it much, thus stagnating us in one set era/genre instead of trying new possibilities(usually, there are exceptions to this obviously).

As for me: I like my era primarily, same as most of us, but I also like stuff from my parents and grandparents days(and even before that), and also newer stuff as well. I used to be stuck in the "one era" loop/quagmire but then I broke free and opened my eyes to all the possibilities there are out there(or more of them at least).

Are you mostly interested in games not on Steam / exclusive to GOG?

also I think it was like ~13/40, so it could be worse

Unfortunately the really good ones on that list are not here however, Arkham series, dawn of war series, resident evil series, borderlands, left 4 dead...
