This isn't a big deal but I am hoping someone can clarify...

I bought the Darksider collection a long time ago and noticed under the offline installer backups of Darksiders 1 I can download the legacy edition. However under Darksiders 2 I don't have this as an option. Was there ever a legacy edition of Darksiders 2?

Only if you previously owned the version that came before the Deathinitive Edition replaced it. Otherwise, no.
