Given that they still haven't actually fixed the update and it gives no real improvements anyway but introduces more problems..... why would anyone actually want it?

I honestly don't trust Bethesda to get its shit together with the next gen update, considering they see Slopfield's DLC as "the best they've ever made" they probably also see the update as working as intended

Ehh, don't worry about the next gen update. I couldn't care less about the graphical updates. I was only interested in the free content that as supposed to come with the update. Turns out it's locked inside of creation club. And since the GOG version doesn't have that then I have no reason to do the update.

Still, I appreciate that GOG tries to get the update for us anyway.

Did anyone ever port those Next-Gen new content stuff over to F4 old-gen?

I don't think the mods in question were next gen content. they were just paid mod content from the creation club store that they just gave to anyone that signed up to creation club. I don't even know if that offer is still valid.

from what I understand they baked in some Creation Club content into the next gen update ..with even some content they had not released at all prior too

Ya I could be wrong myself but it seems baked in from what I have heard and experienced (I had been playing Fallout 4 on Steam till it came to gog thus got it here to play to get away from being tempted to get microtransactions from the creation club..but I did try the next gen update abit and followed talk about it just to experience the stuff mainly that was added for free ) but ya whoevers right or wrong here I hope the next gen update comes here sometime as there is some small but fun content I don't think they stuck in the store I'd love to play with more without tempted to get stuff

Beth could do like they did with Skyrim here, and include all the creation club content in the Anniversary Edition DLC so you don't have to buy them separately or whatever other monkey-fuckery there is.

I've never played a Fallout game, so I'm having a great time watching everyone wait for this :)

Maybe... I already have the base game on Steam but want to buy the GOG version for all the DLC, i'm just waiting until it gets updated...

And after it gets updated i buy Fallout 4 again on GOG... and then Todd Howard announces Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition to make us buy Fallout 4 again. Then i buy Fallout 4 again for the third time... and buy it again and again like we did for Skyrim :)

This year is when Fallout 4 turns 10 years old :)
