Tomb Raider (1996)
Technically it didn't age very well. It's ridiculous how often the camera gets in your way and you can't see what you are doing (in fact most of my deaths resulted from that) and how often Lara gets stuck in a wall. Also the sound was stuttering and the video quality of the cutscenes was so bad that it was hard to understand what was going on. Controls are subpar as well, but you can get used to it.
And yet it was great fun to play this game, because the level design is absolutely fantastic (it's among the best ones I have ever encountered). It's not too linear, but also not too confusing and there are lot of secrets to find when you really search for them.
