TheMonkofDestiny: Inexcusably bad... hmm...

Any number of games by developers who buy assets off an engine marketplace, slap a crud filter on them and then let subpar coding somehow manage to make the assets look worse than their stock settings?
And those games can be surprisingly popular, even if they run like a pig (a dirty one).

To me, most ~2010 super saturated game is considered bad graphics...

Dark_art_:
As in way too much colour? Yeah, I am with you on that one.

Themken:
Yes, It's quite hard to even know whts in the screen, for Gods sake. And I'm partially color blind O.o

There's an entire storefront inundated with them, so I can't pick at that point even if I wanted to.

Darvond: And then you have Pokemon Sword and Shield. Which has pop in and fog like a Nintendo 64 game. But shares a console of which Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, and even a goshdanged port of the Witcher 3 can be found.
1. The series you nag about... Well, graphics had never been their main attraction, selling point, priority for fans. Even black and white with basic sprites, are perfectly enjoyable and regularly played, to this day.
2. Dexit!!! I mean, National Dex discontinuation. No reason to buy this series, since it cuts off a huge pile of content, from the setting. Lots of fans are attacking Nintendo and actively boycott the game, already (even since before release). Let alone Maga-Evos and Z-moves are ditched (the new system doesn't seem half that interesting and it needs special place or circumstance).

Lay down "The Graphic", dude! Besides, there are excellent fangames, with greater features than main series, with all content amassed, with online functionality, even! One of them, is also going to implement the 8th generation!
