Update: Classic versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are now available. If you already own Bioshock Remastered or Bioshock 2 Remastered, you can download classic versions directly from your GOG library.

BioShock™ and BioShock 2™ Remastered are finally available DRM-free.

It'd be a good reason for me to start thinking twice about buying games on GOG. Seriously.

I would like an answer from one of the blues on whether or not Bioshock 2 Classic will still have the multiplayer or will it be stripped out like the Remastered version?

This question was asked before by another user and I didn't see an answer.

Multiplayer is still working in "original" Bioshock 2. I don't know though how much is it integrated with "steamworks" features.

If I was an optimist I would say they were ironing out the bugs that were left in the games and enabling multiplayer for BioShock 2 original. But what are the odds of that happening.

Well, 'at a later date' is intentionally non-specific. So it was to expected, that the classic version would be added 'Soon(TM)' and not actually soon. Expect the release just after all forum bugs are fixed! ;-)

Unfortunately Bioshock 2 is not enjoyable at all in the remastered version. Crashes galore kill the game and the more the game progresses, the more frequent the crashes become. (Maybe scaling with the number of enemies) It's really annoying!

This is one example of a thoroughly botched remaster!

This is one example of a thoroughly botched remaster!
The disappointing part is the original crashes just as often. In both versions the sound mix is off due to the last patch the game had changing it. I've also experienced an audio bug that makes sounds cut out when there's many which the remaster neglected to fix. Absolute trash.
