BranjoHello: So the most hated game mechanic of Resident Evil gets its own game?! O.o
I don't know this heathen-talk of which you speak, Inventory-Tetris is Capcom's greatest gift to Mankind.

This is the reason I don't play the originals. Can't aim for shit. The inventory in 4 isn't even a problem unless you're going for a "sell everything" run and get greedy with the Black Bass (L)'s. The distance between the first few merchants is just a bit too far to fit everything most of the time. Or at least for me.

well to be fair
i dont think youre supposed to fit unlimited items in a survival simulation
its kinda the point with survival
resources are scarce and one can only carry so much before it gets to heavy costing you too much energy to move if it had been a real situation
but perhaps the inventory coud have been a bit bigger in the game since you have to do a lot of backtracking otherwise

Perhaps I’m of a rare breed, but I absolutely love the fixed camera angles and tank controls. I have played the games since the original, though, so it just feels right to me.
Ngl i also enjoy fixed camera/tank controls.
I guess to me it's a limitation that enhances the claustrophobia as oposed to shit controls. If one never gets used to it though i can understand it being just annoying.
Love puzzlers, my new favourite genre! Yoink! Would love to see the rethink series/manifold garden here!
The whole experience, 40 puzzles, took 2 lunch breaks. I enjoyed the diversion.

I didnt think it was bad in the orginals myself either
but thats what alot of people like to complain about
Personally i thougth the remasters lost a bit of what made the orginals appealing
At least for me it felt less claustrofopic with the new controls and camera in the remaster
and i kinda feel the clastrofobic feel was part of the orginals especially 1,2 and maybe to a lesser degree 3 since there was more open areas in nemesis compared to the two previous ones

Dont get me wrong, the remeasters are still great but i kinda wish one coud have the option of choosing between the old style and the new
that applies for the cut content in the remasters as well
especiallty nemesis remaster felt shortar than than the orginal

I can understand that. Resident Evil is my favorite franchise and I appreciate each entry for different reasons. The remake of Resident Evil 1 is incredible and how I would define a true remake. It remains true to the original material while expanding upon it in ways the original hardware couldn’t handle. The reimaginings of Resident Evil 2 and 3 are both excellent, but they’re certainly their own unique versions versus the source material. The nice thing is both versions are very accessible and easy to play, so one can experience whichever play style is preferred. I’ll be interested to see how they handle Resident Evil 4’s remake/reimagining - whichever it ends up being.
I didn't see this one coming...
