So I bought EAW GP from GOG. now im trying to find and buy and original physical disc/case I very much want one. Found a few but cant tell if its and actual disc/case made in 2006-2007. I asked the sellers but they only make vague generic replies. could somebody tell me how to recognize if the case and disc is actually and old one made back in 2006-2007??
I bought one disc/case but it turned out to be a new copy which needed a patch to get it working.

Hmm. I've got a Gold Edition in my collection but I can't remember when it was bought let alone manufactured.

It's an Australian version, but likely there wasn't much difference between international versions of the Gold pressing.

Front cover and DVD looks just like mine the new copy I have. tried to post pic but it wont let me, hardly any difference except in some text maybe. it came with a sec disc to update the game from so it works on 64bit computers, the whole thing did not work. Found GOG and got the game from them and it works perfect but still looking for a original older physical case/disc without all the hassle.
I have a old windows 7 computer which still works and can use it to play old games on. maybe one day with stroke of luck ill find and old case and disc just to add to rest of my collection.

Mine didn't have a second disc obviously, and was the original design for 32-bit systems. But I think it also had that terrible securerom copy protection which forced you to keep the dvd in the drive :(. The GOG version I bought works with far less fiddling (it did need some adjustments), and that's good enough for me.
