Just a quick question, is there any progress related to adding SWAT 4 to GOG? I know that there are wishes to vote on related to this game, but i am curious about the progress.

Progress is top secret.
It's against their contract policies to talk about games before all process is complete.

As with the vast majority of classic releases, GOG won't comment on them beforehands so, no, there hasn't been any visible progress. Also, for whatever reason, Activision (who owns the game) hasn't released a single game here ever since October 2012, so things aren't looking too good at the moment.

Which is really frustrating, not only because of SWAT 4 (and that alone would be enough, as it's a great game) but also all the Star Trek games they made. Away Team, Elite Force, Armada. The Star Trek license was in good hands with Activision. It really sucks there seems to be some roadblock in bringing their stuff to GOG.
A second wave of Activision, EA and Epic games would be great.
That's a shame. Activision could really get more money if they could just put more of their older games to GOG. But nope, gotta make more CoD games.

And shitty console ports and label it 'remastered'...

Same could be said of Ubisoft and Telltale, but then we go and get a glut of new offerings.

Indeed and hence why I said "at the moment".

I think that most of the recent resurgence of interest in GOG is squarely down to Galaxy and how it ticks a lot of their boxes for what publishers think are mandatory options for new games.

Activision, with quite a more significant investment in online gaming is probably a lot more sceptical about Galaxy. To be fair, that's not an unreasonable position. Sure GOG could come out of nowhere with some major new update. But as it stands it's not the most impressive client out there to say the least.
