I have been out of gaming since 2009 and probably missed a lot of good video games.
Now that I am back I would like to know what were the good games that I missed that
were released between 2009 - 2019

Can you recommend me good games?

It would be easier for us if you let us know what type of games you enjoy: strategy (turn-based or real-time), RPGs (action-based or traditional cRPGs), platformers, shooters, point and click adventures....

Being where we are, an obvious answer would be The Witcher 1 + 2 + 3, which should keep you busy for weeks/months.

If you like classic point-and-click adventure games, the publisher Wadjet Eye has been keeping the genre alive with several releases. A favorite of mine is Gemini Rue. Also, Ron Gilbert (of Monkey Island fame) made a comeback with his own indie game, Thimbleweed Park.

Strategy has been dominated by Civilization (V and VI are not on GOG) and Paradox (but most of their hottest games are also not on GOG... yet?).

Two little, harder to classify games that I'd recommend as well are RiME (exploration/platform/puzzles) and Ghost of a Tale (RPG/exploration/stealth). Both feature little or no combat at all, a heavy focus on exploration and two very different styles of storytelling.

You have said nothing about your taste so I'll mention some excellent game that you can find on GOG, based on my personal preferences but trying to be objective.Sadly we are still lacking many releases in the years that you mention. You should really tell us what kind of games you like though.
I've been there years ago, I came on GOG to replay very old games and now I?m trying to catch up with all the releases that I have missed, expecially AAA titles. I think the big change in the last years it's been in the quality and innovation of small/medium developers.
