So, having pre-ordered Dragon Commander, I got two free games, from which I already owned one! That's Divine Divinity and the game you can win!

Entry requirements:
1) Over 20 rep or registered since Nov 2012
2) Talk about your pre-ordered games and/or your opinion on pre-ordering(no flamewars, please :P).

Random.org will decide the winner on Monday or Tuesday!! Good luck =)
Last preorder that I've done: Mass Effect 3. 70 € (I saved money for months)... and after 1 month the game was already discounted at 50%...

I'll probably won't do anymore preorders , at least untill I'll have a work and some cash... Better wait, pay less and have a more optimized product (with patch)

I'm in, thanks Reever for your generosity ;)
Not in but the winner is going to be very happy!

As to pre-orders, well I am on a fairly strict budget so I usually wait for a sale on a game I really want though I wish I could spend more - especially for smaller developers.
Not in but +1

I've never pre-ordered a game, as I couldn't afford it :/
Thank you Reever.

Not in.

The only game I preordered was StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm, for all the other games I always waited for some discount or sale.

That makes three of us.
I've pre-ordered before, but I find it a mixed bag. For games like World of Warcraft and other MMOs you really have to pre-order to keep up, so I wasn't too disappointed. For other games, you often pay full price for a game that more often than not will get patched 3 or 4 times in the next 4 months to fix bugs. By the time the game is mostly stable, the price has come down. And this is if the game really hits the spot. Too many times, I've bought a new game, start playing it, don't really get the feel for it or into it or its too buggy. Set it down and come back to it in a few months, where the price is now half.

Actually, that is the very reason I now buy most of my games now on GoG. Waiting for sales, even if I don't like the game, the price is worth the attempt and at least I have solid reviews to go off (plus word of mouth from friends).

Just for myself, I've quit pre-ordering. But I can't say there were not wonderful games that I either preordered or bought on release day. There was a time it seemed Blizzard could do no wrong. Starcraft, Warcraft 2, Diablo 2 and I was quite happy I bought them so early. I recall playing a lot of Diablo 2. Lately, $60 is a lot to see if the new game will strike your fancy though.

For the record, I'm in for the giveaway...
Not in, but thanks for your generousity, Reever! +1
Not in but +1 for you, Reever.

I rarely pre-order games, I often wait for some reviews even if the game interests me. However, I pre-ordered Legend of Grimrock on GOG, and I didn't regret it, as that was a great game.
I don't pre-order a game! Many times i was tempted to pre-order a game because a) it looked good b) there were some nice gimmicks. Each time i was disappointed. Mostly because the game was bugged and only halveway playable after some patches.
I am sure the same happens for Dragon Commander..heck i have played DD and now play Beyond D here from GOG and they are both still bugged (just the minute before BD crashed again).
I sometimes preorder games from Gamestop, but lately they've been ripping me off on the bonuses. Didn't get my poster from preordering Paper Mario: Sticker Star, didn't get my limited edition case from preordering Resident Evil: Revelations. The clerk was very nice about it, tried all he could (I hope), and even gave me some bonuses from other preorders, but it still pissed me off. I still preorder occasionally, but only if it's something I really want.

Thanks for the giveaway, and count me in :)

I do pre-order games, but I only do that for console games, for a series still under the same studio and which I have enjoyed all their other games. Pokémon!!!!! Magicarp4DaWin

I also recently pre-ordered Rise of the Triad here on GOG.
That was only because the games being given away were worth the price of the pre-order by themselves, so I was happy to get a free game... I will wait until it is released to wage judgment against the game, but Blake Stone... Blake! - Stone!
NOT IN +1 for a great giveaway game choice!
I am in, thank you! =)

Rarely pre-order unless I really love the game. Civ V BNW recently and I guess Skyrim before that. That's all I can remember currently.

I appreciate the giveaway.
