If you have Total Commander you can use it check the MD5 checksum. All you need to do is create a simple text document (shift+F4) with .md5 extension, enter name of the game setup file and paste md5 checksum
(e.g. setup_fallout.exe b8ba91ff4ebfb17ab77ded493da273d5). Save this file, double click it and TC will do the check-up.

Sorry for threadjacking, but if you don't have TC and still want to compare hashes:
There's a really inconspicuous shell extension that adds another tab to the properties screen of the normal Windows Explorer. It's free and really easy to work with, so if you only want to do a quick check it's perfect.
Just rightclick the file in question, go to the hashtab, and paste your md5 hash into the box.
