It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

shemmy: ah, i assumed that if they were able to make former non-compatible games run on vista then they did have access to the source code.

Belua: Could a GOG member perhaps confirm this or expose my stupidity my proving me horribly wrong? ;)

...eee I'm not directly from the compatibility team. But I think that you're pretty right.
I'm not sure if, in addition, we are not doing some reverse engeenering (I know that we can, but don't know if it is allowed and If we actually do this). I'll check and come back tommorow to tell you more:)

ikantspelwurdz: How would you remove DRM without reverse engineering?

markstahler: ...and sells it without any involvement from the original copyright holders and/or publishers? Come on.

You're right, it is not possible. Ofcoz we do have support of content owners.
The only problem is that not always this support is possible due to different reasons
(lost masters, documentation etc). And in this rare cases we need to use some less standard methods like reverse enginering, but this is rather an exception.
