Been with GOG since 2008 and BG3 is what finally made me cave. Very frustrated that I could not keep up with the BG3 Patches and had to load Galaxy. Guess I should have just bought it on Steam ;-)

BG3 is a new game, keeping it uodated without the launcher will be a constant work

I am Happy to say that I can use the Client to make sure it is up to date patch wise and still run the game without the client. Makes me much happier.

yes Larian is still arbitrary changing the code weekly at this point... in another year or two when they have some control over a stable build is when you want to have a backup installer for Bg3
