Hi Everyone

Does anyone know how to get the GOG app to go back onto a desktop shortcut setting? ( not a game but the GOG Galaxy app itself) I deleted it as it was being very slow and then when reinstalling it I keep getting this popping up. (please look at pic) so it is in the back ground but in order to get to it, I have to go to the search bar, and I can not seem to get a desktop shortcut option even when clicking it on in the app settings :( very confusing :(

Hello,

On Windows, GOG Galaxy is installed by default under C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\GalaxyClient.exe You can navigate to that folder in File Explorer, then right-click and drag the executable to the desktop to create a shortcut. Or just right-click and choose Pin to Taskbar.
just to be clear the people that allow Galaxy to install to C:\Program Files (x86)\ are the same ones that have all the issues getting it to run correct because "C:\Program Files (x86)\" is a bad location to install any software in Windows systems

put in C:\Gog\ or D:\Galaxy ... frankly anywhere but C:\Program Files (x86)\

p.s, Galaxy is NOT an app, its software + to add to icemages' post set to run as admin by default should stop you getting that error
