Yesterday I purchased a game through GOG and used GOG Galaxy to install it.
As with many other apps and programs nowadays, Galaxy attempts to automatically determine a user's system language, and, perhaps unsurprisingly in my case, it automatically defaults to Brazilian Portuguese when it should be European Portuguese. I was presented with a Brazilian interface (featuring an incomplete translation, by the way). Out of curiosity, I then decided to check what other languages it had in its system. To my surprise, it features an actual Portuguese option (which begs the question of what kind of parameters Galaxy uses to distinguish between Brazilian and European Portuguese), but upon selecting it, nothing is translated at all: it remains in English through and through (as you can see in the attached image).
So while I really don't need to switch to Portuguese since I understand English just fine, this still came as a shock. I feel compelled to ask - why does Galaxy assume a different system language, and perhaps more importantly, why does it show English instead?
If you're looking for Portuguese translators, let me know. I can even do this for free.
