It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

How to turn it off? Also: Does it help to post a reminder every 6 months or year or so that removing the mandatory autoupdate was a good idea and should be upheld? So new people joining your dev team do not come up with that "brilliant new idea" again and again and again.

edit: Yes, I know of the option in the game feature settings; but apparently the launcher ignores it.

edit2: Now the system is just messing with me; first game started updating as soon as the launcher started at the 2nd game it stopped.

*sighs, flips table, stomps off*

Maybe you found the solution by now, but to avoid automatic updates I launch Galaxy with the /runWithoutUpdating parameter.

People also said to rename GalaxyUpdater.exe in C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists, but I'm not sure if it's mandatory.
