I did have installed version 2.0.37.
When I launched Galaxy, updater started download update. After install warning message appeared with text about that local database was corrupted and reseted.
And current version in settings now 2.0.24. Downgrade was cause of database corruption.

The DB is most likely not corrupt at all, the old version just can't read it. That's what happens with my software if the DB is used on a older version :)
Just try to install Galaxy again with the current beta installer.

That's strange indeed. You might want to contact support about that. On my system 2.0.37 is running and doesn't try to downgrade.
