Hello!

There is an element of the interface that is not explained in the manual and I was unable to find any explanation also surfing the net.
If you look at the attached image, in the top right you can see the character portrait, under it the icons to recall inventory, rest etc ... and the portrait of the henchman.
If you look at the top left there is a square with what seem a star inside it ... sometime this appear, sometime it disappear and sometime there are other icons inside the square ... but the manual doesn't explain what they mean.

Can someone help me please?

The icon in your screenshot shows you are moving to a place you have clicked on, it disappears when you get there.
Other icons there, could be spells you cast, or special abilities like bardsong (as in pic.), or lay on hands.

It's your queue of actions.
