Is there any way of disabling the fog that appears in the distance? I'm not referring to the thing in Chapter 2, but the general fog that obscures the horizon. It makes me feel like Geralt is near sighted.
And if it can't be disabled, is there a way of making it appear farther away. It's a bit annoying to see it constantly obscuring the line of sight.

Also, if there's a way to remove color filters, tone down the HDR and remove that weird extra crispy texture effect in direct sunlight, I would appreciate if anyone can tell me how.

If your system can handle it try setting LOD distance to far. Disabling light shafts may help with the sunlight effect you mentioned. Enable cinematic depth of field and maybe try setting texture memory size to large. Light shafts eat GPU resources anyway so you might get a smoother game out of it.
I to have this wish. It is even very severe indoors.
I have tried everything.....no luck.
I have never seen a game with indoor fog like this, and outdoor is way
overdone.
I limped through one play-through, too much for a second.
I'm a VERY big fan of this series, but this is to much..
If you want to fiddle with the game settings, I can recommend this handy little tool. It allows you to change all the settings, including those that are usually 'hidden,' so to speak. Try raising the LOD values, to see if it helps. Personally, I wouldn't go higher than 2.0, but I've heard of people going as high as 4.0 and liking it.
Cool! Thx very much!
