Hello all,

After installing patch 1.1, I took a jog through the Flotsam forest. Every 3rd or 4th step, he seems to just go into slow motion for a split second. So constant jerky motion. Yet I'm watching the FPS and they are hovering between 45-55. I had not made any changes prior to installing the patch 1.1.
Is it possible the ATI driver is not agreeing with the patch?
I'm running the game through RadeonPro with the Dirt 2 profile and alternate frame rendering.

I've tried turning V-sync on as well, to no effect.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Following system:
i7-860 @ stock 2.8
ati 5770 crossfire [11.5b hotfix]
4 gb ram
win 7 64-bit

I had similar issues in the Flotsam forest. I don't think there's much you can do to fix it, as I believe that's the way the engine handles that area, very much like the way the XRay engine handles loading levels in Stalker. Luckily, other area later in the game didn't give me any trouble.
I had the same issues and it was that ATI hotfix , i reverted and the game is awesome again. I use Dirt 3 profile with Radeon Pro till they release proper real new ATI drivers.

Oh wow, thanks for responding man. 11.5b hotfix you mean? Should I go get the 11.5a hotfix instead?
Also, where's the Dirt 3 profile, I don't see it in RadeonPro?
Wait my mistake is the same with the old drivers, a bit better but i am still getting weird lights D: i have no idea what is happening sorry :(

So the best bet at this point to is wait on an ATI new driver?

I believe is the patch i mean the game patch , i compare my screenshots from pre patch and post patch and the difference is extreme , even the textures looks low res , bloom is gone...seems like another game. Mabe they messed up something somewhere because my settings are the same everything maxed less ubersampling :(

Oh ok, I gotcha. Hmm and you're getting the jerky movement in Flotsam forest too? It's actually hard on the eyes lol.

Nope , and i really need to test more those 2 ATI drivers i am not getting weird lights anymore in Flotsam i believe i am going nutz D:
Yeah same happens to me.

Frame rate is pretty decent between 40 and 60 FPS with Radeon HD 6870, but it is just Geralt's animation that is slightly jerky. Every half second or so it jerks suddenly.

It is very distracting and making it seem like the rest of the game is running slow when in fact it is running fine.

Hopefully it something that will be fixed in a patch or drivers.
It happens to me too, but not on a ATI card, a 9800 GTX+. I haven't been able to get rid of it, but other users have had some success by using an external program to cap the FPS to 30 or 35. or [url=http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=27959259&postcount=1361]FPS Limiter will do that.

I also have that problem since patch 1.1 As mentioned before the only thing that might help you is the use of a frame limiter.
I know this sounds stupid, but load a save. once the environment is loaded, have Geralt do a full 360 turn and see if that helps. This worked for Oblivion. It helped get rid of some of the stutter.

I see where you are coming at with that one, making sure the evironment is loaded up properly. But that is not my problem, looking around is perfectly smooth, the screen movement is fine.

It is just Geralt's animatiion that is jerky, the monsters and NPC's are fine. It only happens for me in certian locations like in the forest in Flotsam. Inside the city it is fine.

Very weird issue. I have tried to use a frame limiter but didnt work, not sure if the program worked though. Will give FPS_Limiter a try.
