Hi, I have been playing the Witcher 2 on my laptop, but want to switch it to my desktop computer. I have the game loaded up on the new computer and I moved the saves from my laptop over to the gamesaves folder on the desktop computer, but the game does not recognize the save files. Any ideas on how to get the saves imported into the game? Thanks.

That's pretty much all you have to do, as long as the path is correct "\Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves".

Are both saves from the same game version v1.35?

And are the save paths identical?
I'm pretty sure the path is correct as it is making new saves in the same "gamesaves" folder that i moved my older saves into. How would i go about checking the game version? Sorry to seem so daft but i'm not the most tech savvy. Thanks.
Both game installs should be identical for the saves to work correctly.

To check the game version, go to "\The Witcher 2\bin" and right-click "witcher2.exe" then Properties then Details.

Original game is v1.0.6041.43456.

Patch v1.1 is v1.1.6157.43917.

Patch v1.2 is v1.2.6276.44681.

Patch v1.3 is v1.3.6720.47945.

Patch v1.3-1.35 (HotFix) is v1.3.7010.49836.

That's not what I meant.

Your laptop save path should be the same as the desktop save path, and with no weird characters in it.
