i don have any mods installed ... n in the launcher options my text language is set to JP n theres no other option other than that ... voice over language set to english ... n in the game menu .. my menu buttons have changed ... its written like "menunew" or "menusettings" .. everything has been messed up ... wat did i do wrong ? .. i have the gog version .. but i patched my game from 1.2 ot 1.3 from thewitcher site .. n it was said that my launcher would automatically install the 1.35 hotfix but it didnt .. n i had download it from thewitcher site again ... any suggestions ? thanx
People report this all over the forums (plural, because you can find this in the official The Witcher forum, too).

It's because they've accidentically downloaded the japanese version of the patch. Unfortunately the two download buttons for the patch don't show what language version they are.

So...simple solution: Reinstall the game, apply patches until 1.3, then download the "real" 1.3 to 1.35 patch. ;)
yes i jus noticed that too ... the file i got was named "patcher_jp" ... started reinstalling ... thanx for the reply ..

Is this necessary, though? I thought all you needed to do was to download the proper version, and install the patch again. I think someone on the official forum got it fixed by doing this, at least.

Yes, that's what I did.

I accidentally installed the JP patch, but then I simply downloaded and installed the correct patch and it was OK.

It must have been multilingual, as it was twice the size at 72MB, and there were various read Me's in the game folder in different languages.
