Sorry for my english, but I am worried about 360 version.

- No expansion announced, because team must do xbox version of the game.
- Looking at the teaser, I saw that the cinematics will be done in computer grafic, because hardware console is limited. So, a bunch of resources wasted.

Is it a good decision?I don't think...

It is normal not to announce a decision until they are positive they can go through with it. I think they needed strong PC sales to fuel the port to 360. they already burned themselves once by announcing a port and then having it fall though. This time they planned ahead and the 360 users will get the same game we did.

the teaser was a cinematic movie, not in game footage. much like the opening cinematic from The Witcher found here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtrKfZqokl4

the rest of the game looked nothing like this so no worries. They're just marketing it.

Most of the team that are responsible for creating content will most likely not be involved in the Xbox360-development, because the content is already existent and must only be transferred. This excludes adjustments that have to be made, but still I don't think the Xbox360-adaption will not hinder the progress on any possible expansions a lot. Anyways, I don't think they're going to tell us about future plans for expansions before the xbox360-version is released - so while we won't get much information, I'm sure that 'behind the scenes' everything is done as planned. There will still be more DLC and patches despite the xbox-conversion.

The teaser, and other cinematics are created by an external studio. So, it doesn't affect the working capacities at CDPR at all. I does cost money, but I think it will be more than profitable once the xboxversion is released.

Don't worry too much, before-hand. As of now, nothing has gone wrong, really. :-)
Actually I do believe it's a good news. XBOX version will let them sell more copies, get more money and ultimately encourage the developer/publisher to bring the next Witcher to the world. And we all want it. Desperately. Don't we? ;)
I agree that people are way overreacting to this.

There is really no reason to be worried until devs start telling us the same kind of bullshit that Bioware did before Dragon Age 2. And I think everyone learned from Bioware mistakes and CD Project will not make the same mistake.

Agreed, CDPRED is bringing a completely different attitude to the table. They have not lost my faith at all. on the contrary they delivered what they said they would. If only all devs would *coughBiowarecough*
For god's sake! It's been what?! two weeks? since the release?

The news of expansion will come. From what I gather, CDPR is a modern company that doesn't follow the recent trend of announcing expansions for games even before the original premiers. Wait for it, wait for it longer. If and when it comes out, it will be good.
I hope you're right guys, what can I say.. But in that trailer there also "footage in game" from second 40 to 50-55. The first part is the same we saw in our version, but in cinematic CG. CG is very expensive... Also pc sales figures are great, so this is not the case that a console version can "save the team".

Well people asking for expansions after 2 weeks is not a bad sign ;)

No. It's a great sign. :)
However, expecting an announcement is another matter. Give these guys some time. First, console version - that's the thing that brings more (very much needed) money. Second, the expansion. Don't forget that there will be DLC enriching the game all along.

Maybe. Or maybe more sales = more funds/encouragement to make (free?) expansions, less pressure to rush the next game out to pay the bills. It could benefit both this and the next game.

I doubt a porting job is going to tie up artists, level designers, and such anyway. If they designed The Witcher 2 to be expandable with a minimum of coding, even if members of the same team are involved in the port it might not slow work on an expansion down at all since both jobs would require different skill sets. Presumably not every team member can do just anything.

It was actually made by the same studio that made the intro and outro to the Witcher 1 :)

And speaking of expansions/DLCs:

1. Show some mercy, they were working their asses off last 4 years, creating the RED engine and Witcher 2. How about the devs take a week off? :)

2. They clear statement in the interviews was that THEY WILL KEEP SUPPORTING PATCHES/DLCs (sorry for caps, but some people seem to need that). I mean come on - 2 weeks, 2 patches plus Barber's DLC - which some find funny/stupid, but I think it's just CDPR blinking at us saying "see, even the smallest things that our fans ask for - they get them"

3. The RED engine was designed with flexibility in mind. In was one of the reasons that it actually was built it from scratch - so they can create new titles or content easily. So I think that they don't need the whole team of coders to work on any additional content.

PS. What is it with people these days. They get something great Day 1 and start whining Day 2.

I don't own a console and can't use one, but I hope CDPR doesn't expend all there resources there until the PC game is fixed real well.
