A funny thing happened recently. I wanted to see what would happen to Geralt if I go around town waving my sword around and pretending I was trying to kill the people of Vergen.

As I was chasing a dwarf down the streets, just for laughs, I stumbled upon that sequence when, I forget his name, informs the people that they shouldn't go outside with the mist and all. Well, during that sequence, a guard told Geralt to put his weapon away before he gets into trouble.

Being in a cinematic, I couldn't. So he attacked Geralt, during the cinematic, while Geralt was off-screen. I was playing on easy at the time, so I think I managed to kill him, but Geralt still couldn't move, he could attack and turn though, and the camera was still fixed on the scene where the cinematic took place.

In short, Geralt got stuck in the cinematic. It's not really a critical issue, a saved game being enough to get you out of it, but in case no one reported it, well, here it is.
That's what you get for harassing dwarves.
