The voice acting in TW2 sucks. The voice production is the absolute pits, it's really boomy and always comes from the same place no matter where the charectar is speaking. The cinematic cut scenes are anything but cinematic, they are dry and lifeless mostly because the body movement is CRAP and the SAME IN EVERY CUT SCENE, seriuosly, Geralt flexes his palm outwards when he's angryr, he does it when he's sad, he does it when he's explaining, it's really ameturish. The only good things about the game are the combat and the models and textures and the dialogue itself is not bad either, if you can ignore the dead faces, shitty sound and totally uninspired direction.
I'm not asking for expensive facial animation, just some natural body movement and put the people on the left side in the left speaker and the people on the right in the right speaker. Basic stuff.
The game is so visually nice out of the cut scenes that I expect to be able to kick back in the cut scenes and be treated to some nice direction but time and again it's just 120 seconds of looping plastic movement. Often times the characters' head movement will be in a loop where half the time he'll be speaking in one direction, and half the time in another. Of course the pauses in dialogue will not match up to when he changes direction and the voice will sound exactly the same no matter which way he's facing. All of this detracts from the realism. You'd think that they could spend a few hours on this basic stuff rather than thousands of hours painstakingly animating the women's tits and arses. I don't know any other modern game that uses movement loops in the cut scenes. Motion capture is not expensive, we've has the technology for over 15 years now and everyone is using it!!!
