So, today i patched to 1.04 and now whenever i try to continue i get a message saying something like "Can't load save file because it was created on newer version of the game." Something like that. You see the problem here: I was playing the original version all along so it is impossible that those saves could have been made on a newer version of the game.

Already copied old saves and deleted old folder, started new game and dropped the copied files into the new folder that was created. That did not work. Not interested in replaying 9+ hours. Please help.

I got the same problem. seems like the game jumped back to version 1.2

I have tried to get the free dlc that has been solved the problem for ppl but for me i got stuck on 60% of the update. everytime i receive server problem.

Have no clue what so ever what to do. :/

I don't know if this will help,use at own risk.
This may or may not work with the saved game.It is a copy of someone else's solution.

Install the game & patch it up to 1.04 after successfully patching to latest version go to the following path (C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\bin) & add a ".OLD" to the folder called "ddi" (Example: ddi.OLD) this folder houses a DLL file called "GOG.DLL" that was preventing my game from launching after patch 1.02.

Seems GOG is having some issues. Tried to use the Verify/Repair option and it just stops abruptly due to server issues. I think i'll take the night off of Witcher 3. Should not have tried patching game. Worked so well before that.

Uninstalled the game while opting to keep old save files (uninstall process gives the option). then reinstalled and applied all patches and now i can load old saves again :D Didn't take long.

Thanks it worked for me to. I really hope i dont need to do this everytime i want to play ; )
