I've encountered an issue where buying the recipe for "Enhanced Northern Wind" from the herbalist in the little town below Kaer Trolde doesn't actually give you the recipe. Tried several times to acquire it but no matter what I do the game doesn't recognise that I've bought the recipe. It does know that I bought the "Drowner Pheremones" recipe from him though. Anyone else encountered this? Did you find a way around it?

Nah, the bug's been going around with Northern Wind, and Moon Dust as well, where the standard recipe somehow takes precedence over the enhanced.
There is a workaround: Drop your Northern Wind bomb (and when you find the enhanced recipe for it, Moon Dust), then, in the same sitting, you can re-make the Northern Wind, and then enhance it, so long as you don't leave the alchemy screen when you do.
