So today I needed to re-install the game from disc (I switched from a mechanical drive to SSD, game stuttered horribly as it streamed data when going to Novigrad), and just installed the two patches to bring me up to 1.03.

I had previously installed the two DLC packages (temerain armour set and hairstyle), though I had not yet purchased/used them from a merchant.

I start the game with the new installation, try to load a savegame, and lo and behold none of them work. An error message tells me that it can't load without the DLC.

OK, no problem, I go to GOG to download the files so I can re-install them and continue playing. Imagine my surprise when I find them gone from my download list! Sadly I had deleted the DLC files from my drive (stupid stupid).

Apparently gog has silently removed them not just from my account, but other people as well according to the sticky. Very strange ...

I am about 10 hours in and really don't feel like starting again.
VERY annoyed, as this has effectively stopped me from playing while I have to wait for GOG to put these files up for download again and hope that my savegames will work. Not cool!!

Never use DLCs. Problem solved. *just kidding*

Well, waiting for an explanation from CPR/gog will be your only option if you want to continue your saved game then.

I am actually very inclined to agree with you, I will be very cautious of installing any of the DLC's again (or at least keep copies of everything, so much for digital always being superior over physical)!!
I was really looking forward to playing this evening, oh well. Guess I have to go play the inferior GTA V ...

wont let me post links, so just put a . where (dot) is
Are you using Galaxy or a direct download?

I can see them in the "Configure" page through Galaxy, when looking at my library, but the Galaxy page is structured differently than the one I see in the browser, where there doesn't seem to be any link to them.
Copy DLC folder into The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt folder. And if you use GOG Galaxy go to MORE / CONFIGURE and enable DLC.

Nope, uninstalled Galaxy as I have no use for it at this stage (I try to keep my PC trim). A few days ago the DLC links appeared below the core installer files via the GOG library page of my account in the browser, but they have since been removed. Looking around the forums this has happened to other people too.

I think that gog may be preparing for the next DLC, and as a result the files have been removed from the server.

Thanks for the reply.
Strange, the DLC is gone from my library as well. I just downloaded it a day or two ago.

Does anyone know more about this? I suspect it's probably just some temporary problem with the accounts and/or the DLC itself.

Hi maliceb and kepinskidar

Thank you both VERY much for uploading these files, the game is now working for me again (on the first attempt I had not configured the directories properly, all good now)!

You can go ahead and remove the download links (may get you in trouble with gog, don't want that happening!).
Really appreciate the help!
GTAV is now huddled up in a corner and uttering little whimpers of neglect once again :-)

Cheers
