Greetings, i purchased Baldur's Gate The original saga a while ago and i started playing today.
However, i noticed that the music does not start playing unless i hit the quicksave button.
I tried running as administrator and compatibility mode already but that doesn't change a thing.
I am not using any mods whatsoever, just raw the way you download it.
I was wondering if anyone got a fix for this.

Music is not constant in BG. Quick saving does initiate it, but it doesn't sound like you have an issue.

But isn't it logical it starts when you enter a tavern or a zone? It just feels off. Anyway, if it is is standard then quicksave button wil lbe my friend even in taverns at least.

Tavern music is ambient noise mostly, but like I said, music (as opposed to ambient) is not constant in BG.
