Hello,
I`ve installed BG:EE on Ubuntu 19.10 64-bit. When I`m trying to start it via terminal with ./start.sh command, then I have:
"Running Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition
./BaldursGate64: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Searching on Google sent me to topics from 6-8 years and they don`t work. I`ve installed all libssl from repo that I see, but this doesn`t help also.

I`m a poor little girl, help me.

I wanted to buy BG:EE, but I have the same Ubuntu version, so maybe I won` buy it, if this won`t work. :D Does anyone have solution?

Same thing on Debian9.12.
I don't plan to spend hours on searching for solutions. I'll use this time for my work.
Is it possible to exchange non functional game i buy lately for something that work ?

Adamhm has a meta package. Maybe it is worth trying?

It says for Ubuntu 18.04. Not sure if it would work on 19.xx .

Annoying, isn't it. If you're not opposed to installing Steam you can borrow their libssl to run this game. See my post at https://www.gog.com/forum/baldurs_gate_series/bgee_bg2ee_iwdee_and_pstee_all_4_still_fail_to_run_on_3_different_linux_distros_mint/post4 ,

In order to fix this issue you must obtain copies of the following two files:

libcrypto.so.1.0.0
libssl.so.1.0.0

and paste them into the following directory on your computer:

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

The file copy must be done as a superuser (open terminal and run "sudo nautilus" to open file browser as superuser).
