It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Does anyone run this through CrossOver or some other way on their Mac? I would dearly love to have this and other GOG games on my laptop. Advice for anyone who has done this? (Ideally I don't want to have to install Windows, so I am not looking for a Bootcamp or Parallels solution if possible). Thanks!!
GemRB is a mod (closer to an all new engine, really) that allows a number of Infinity Engine games to run on OS X and Linux. I can't guarantee it will work, but it's worth investigating.

Take a look here for more information:

Hmm, that sounds great, but also looks a tad complicated. I will likely have to wait for the weekend to really get into it. I will post again if I get it up and running though from their forums it sounds like it should work. :-)
Wanted to drop in and say that it indeed works perfectly with CrossOver with my Mac, no issues yet :)
Assuming you can install Wine on a mac (CrossOver is the commercial version of Wine), it can be done.

This is all done through linux, but it should hopefully apply to OS X as well:

Once you've installed Wine (preferably the newest version via source code, but if there are Mac packages/executables available, give those a try if you'd prefer the easier route), install the games. The installer works flawlessly under Wine.

After they're installed, open a terminal and type "winecfg". In the Applications tab, click "Add Application", then navigate to the install directory and select BGMain2.exe. After you've done that, go to "graphics" and set it so that it's emulating a virtual desktop - whatever size you pick is up to you, but I go for 1024x768. It doesn't make a difference really, since the game is always shrunk down to its native res.

A final note is that if you're having issues with sound as I do, make sure to kill any applications that might be using sound... media players, music organizers (itunes), web browsers, etc.

All of this applies to Torment as well, and presumably future IE games.

Now to try this GemRB thing.
I am running it on a iMac under Boot Camp with no problems.

So if you get desperate, this way does work.
