Ive been playing the game as my current non-spell slinger bard and its going very well. I have a party filled with all melee characters-Khalid, KIvan, Jahierra and my bard all slaughter everything in sight. My character has the 2nd highest armor class of -2 with Khalid in full plate mail at -3.

I currently have come to the conclusion that if you know how and where to get the right items early on, you can melee most any class except for spellcasters. After I complete Bg1, Im going to try a thief tank in Icewind dale 1 next.

Has anyone else had any luck with rare builds in game?
