It seems that everyone is talking with so much certainty that BG2 WILL be coming to gog, if that is the case I CAN NOT WAIT!

Sadly, I think that's all it is right now. I haven't seen anything confirming that it WILL be released; that said, the first one has been released, and BG2 is the second most wanted game on the wishlist right now. I'm sure it'll be coming; it's just a question ofwhen.

You know, you could get a cd version of BG2 with its expansion and BG1 with its expansion all for 20 bucks (presumably what GOG will charge).

I did this about 6 months ago; in total its just 4 discs. Wish GOG had released it back then, but oh well.
