dtgreene: Also, it's possible to create multiple characters separately in single player and then import them all into multiplayer.
Hickory: Not without file manipulation.
I'm not talking about creating multiple characters in one single player game; I am referring to the fact that you can start multiple single player games, create a different character in each one, export each one of them, and import them all into multiplayer.
dtgreene: I'm pretty sure that you mean "single player mode", not "story mode" (which is a new difficulty setting that was added to the EEs).
Hickory: I can see where the confusion lies, but by 'story mode' I actually meant story-driven (campaign) mode as opposed to multi-player 'do as you like' mode.
My understanding is that, in multiplayer, you still play through the same story that you play through in single player; it's just that you have other players controlling characters other than the main character.
(Technically, the number of other players can be zero, of course.)
