I got the scroll to remove the geas, but I can't find Marek. I checked the second floor of both The Blushing Mermaid and The Blade and Stars Inn, and he isn't there. I also kept an eye out for his BFF Lothander in case I got the names mixed up, but still nothing.

Did you give the scroll to Lothander (Blade and Stars Inn)?

Go to Lothander first. Lothander is in the Blade and Stars. Marek is in the Blushing Mermaid.
