What directory is used when you are running Baldur's Gate in NON administrator mode in Window's 7? When I switch over to administrator mode it puts them in the right path, but I can't find out where my old saves and characters are.

For me they are at C:\Users\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files (x86)\GOG.com\Baldur's Gate

Hopefully that'll get you pointed in the right direction. PS, you'll need to have hidden files/folders set to visible to find it.

Thanks, that worked.

For the record my full path was:

C:\Users\*username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate

Where *username = Whatever username you are logged into on that computer. So if anyone else doesn't find it directly in the one he posted, try under your user name.
For what it's worth, you can generally find these kinds of folders by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate\ (or whatever), and clicking "Compatibility files" in the toolbar.
Just don't install to the Program Files folders. They are protected in Vista and Win7 so saves get moved to somewhere within your User folder. Use your own install folder (e.g. C:\Games\Baldur's Gate\ ) and saves should get put inside that folder like it used to do in old versions of Windows.
Just a note, if you have UAC disabled or change the security permissions on your GOG.com folder, the save files get stored in the game's own install directory.
