Or more after the intro videos, when entering the menu I believe. I am running Windows 7 x64 with Nvidia 310 GTM. I really wanted to play this game after reading about it, but now I'm kinda bummed. I bought this on GoG b/c I figured I wouldn't have to deal with this.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I've tried running as administrator, I'm not sure what else I can do. (I'm a n00b at this kinda stuff) =(

Have you tried to go into the Black Isle/BG2 folder, find the .exe, right click on it and choose the compatibility mode tab then set it for win 98 or XP sp3? It should run after that...mine does and I have win 7 64 bit.

I'm having the same problem; BG1, Windows 7. It plays the menu and the intro movies, then encounters an error and closes. I've tried setting the .exe files into compatibility mode, but it doesn't change anything.
