I'm sure this has already been asked but I can't find a thread, in this GOG edition of these two games, is it still possible to import a completed BG file into BGII? If this is so, can it only been seen AFTER BG2 detects a completed BG1 file?

Forsooth, all you have to do is take your savedgamefolder and put it in your Baldur's Gate 2 save directory. I don't have either game installed atm so I can't give you exact paths, but it's really simple! :)
