Hello! All though I'm a BG dork to the max, I'm not very computer savvy

Beat BG1 and exported my character. I can find the data for the character in
the BG enhanced folder in my documents, but according to my searching,
there doesn't seem to be any comparable folder for BG-2. Did I miss a
download or something?

How do I import my character into BG2?

There should be a 'characters' folder in your BG2 folder; if it's not there, make one, then drop the .chr file into it. That should let it show up when you hit the import character button.

There should also be a save called final-save or something in your BG save folder. You can import your character from that save if you copy it to the BG 2 save folder.

The .chr file import works just as well.

Thank you both for your advice, but I'm afraid my problem runs deeper. I have no folder for BG-2, only the icon which runs the game. Maybe a redownload is in order.

If you have the icon, you should have BG 2 installed, unless you deleted the folder manually.
Are you sure you looked in the right place? If you do a right click on the icon, then select properties, doesn't it give you a path for the executable?
