Anyone else get chunk errors when trying to dl and how to fix them??? I'm up to date on all platforms / direct x drivers java etc windows updates have a far far superior computer to the requirments but it keeps failing mid dl.

What do you mean with "dl"? Downloading from GOG.com?
I don't think, that downloads have anything to do with system updates or drivers. Would be your internet connection, your ISP, the GOG-server or some strange software on your system …

It's hard to understand your problem. From my point of view, it could came from errors during the downloading to bad sector on your hardrive.

Could you be more specific on the issue you're facing, when and how it happens ?

Assuming you mean problems downloading, obvious thoughts are:

* Not enough room on hard drive
* ISP interrupts torrenting
* host site has bad servers
* Firewall is interrupting dl
* anti-malware is interrupting dl
* You're on dialup which can fail on large dl
