taltamir: thanks, i will look at them soonish (currently debugging something)
Lasivern: I've never used the "come with the game" scripts, much less third-party ones.
taltamir: Not even the script that makes thieves automatically hide or automatically search for traps/illusions every round?
I mainly want a script that has my theif act as an archer on nearest enemy, if none are in sight it should go into hide mode if it is still visible, if it is already hiding it should search for traps/illusions.
And the auto attack with ranged weapon command for mages is godsend, arang its called... very useful for just automatically getting rid of 1HD enemies without too many wasted clicks
Nope, I prefer to control my own party. I know that the scripts can automate a lot of mundane tasks and such, and I did try them out for awhile in BG1, but I always found myself having to override them anyway, so I turned them off and have never looked back.
Now, part of this is the way I normally play... which is a bit weird. >laffs< Normally, I like to get all of the "kills" for myself [gotta love that 100% total on the record screen!] So what I do for most of my run-throughs is have my PC as the only character that can inflict damage on enemies. All of the other members of my party are limited to casting buffs, disabling spells, information spells and the like - nothing that can do any damage.
I call it "semi-solo" [although it's not really very "solo" since I have help] and use it since I *love* the Party interactions, romances, banters and flirts, but I also want to get that 100% kills and "solo" as much as my limited tactical skills will allow. So it covers what I want out of fights *and* I get all of the NPC stuff as well [which is what I really enjoy].
Keeps me entertained, anyway. Never seen anyone else who plays this way, so it is unusual, if nothing else. :) However, even when I don't play this way, I still don't use scripts or the AI...
