Okay, an odd one for you all.

I missed the "shortcut" option when installing BG3 from GoG. Is there anyway to make a desktop shortcut for the game now? GoG is fun, but I don't like having to open it just to play a game!

Lotta ways to do this. Assuming you are on Windows the easiest is probably...

Open File Explorer, navigate to the game folder and find the game exe (I can't be any more specific than this because you did not say what game you were talking about). Click and drag the exe to your desktop while holding the <alt> key.

he said BG3 so the three options are:

Launch Baldur's Gate 3... this opens the Larian launcher first and is the best option for off line install

then you could go /bin
and pick bg3_dx11.exe or bg3.exe which is DX11 or vulkan but just the game itself

i'm assuming you did off line install but if you used Galaxy then open the Galaxy app first or come back here in a few days upset that all your save games are gone
