While digging around in my garage this week, I finally found a bunch of my old computer discs. Among them was Baldur's Gate 1, along with the Sword Coast expansion, which I have never gotten around to playing. As far as I can tell, the discs are still good; I was able to do a full install without any disc problems (albeit I had to do it in WinXP Safe Mode). Having done a little research, I've heard that the game is much better if modded into BG2's engine. Given that, my rather simple question is this:

Would there be any problems performing this mod (BG1 into BG2) with BG1 via discs, and BG2 via GOG?

I have the disc versions of BGII and ToB and the GoG version of BG. Tutu works fine for me but because it uses the engine of BGII I still have to insert the disc to play BG. I don't think you'll have that problem.

No, I have done exactly that in the past with BGT.

Excellent, thank you.
